The Committee was led by one of Nigeria’s foremost researchers, Emeritus Prof. John Igene of the University of Benin (UNIBEN) who is famous for his ground breaking research on ‘Kilishi’.
‘Kilishi’ is a popular local delicacy (snack) which over the years has gained international recognition and it’s been exported, especially in the northern part of the country where it is more popular.
Also in the Committee is our own Prof. Olukayode Akinyemi, Director, CEADESE, FUNAAB.
Operating under the aegis of TETFUND, the committee came on inspection and monitoring of national research fund ongoing projects in the University.
