One of the foremost Civil Society organisations in Nigeria with its base in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, the Centre for Reform and Public Advocacy (CRPA) is set to honour the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde with the Exemplary Leadership Award.
The award ceremony would be held on Friday, October 18, 2024 by 11:00 a.m. at the New Vice-Chancellor’s Conference Room.
According to a Release by the Deputy Registrar II, Vice-Chancellor’s Office, Mr. Moses Ayanda, the award is in recognition of his remarkable contributions to humanity, exceptional leadership in the University, and significant impacts in the fields of Plant Breeding and Seed Technology.
The award also recognised his professorship for almost two decades and exemplary dedication to teaching and learning. It was further noted that his proactive administration and effective leadership have significantly contributed to the advancement of the University and the field of education as a whole.
Few among several recipients of the award in the past were, Prof. Lilian Salami, Vice-Chancellor, University of Benin; Prof. Maduebibisi Iwe, Vice-Chancellor, Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike; Major-General Stephen Paul Guar, (rtd.) Coordinator, Operation Rainbow; Mohammed Alkali Argungun, the State Corp Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp (NSCDC), Sokoto State, and Prof. Onwunari Georgewill, Vice-Chancellor, University of Port-Harcourt.
The award ceremony promises to be a momentous occasion celebrating Prof. Kehinde’s exemplary leadership and contributions to society, underscoring his commitment to excellence, integrity, and patriotic service.
