The Department of Pure and Applied Zoology, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) has rewarded students with the highest Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) in each level of the Department.

According to the Head of Department, Professor Olufemi Sam-Wobo, the idea behind the award is to revive the old tradition of the Department and the University as it was done years back.

He said that such gesture is geared towards recognition of hard work among the students and promised that the Department aimed at continuing the tradition henceforth.

He equally charged others to work hard, because there is reward in hard work.
