The Directorate of Public Relations (DPR), Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), is set to host an In-house Training programme for its staff on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, by 10 a.m.
A statement by the Ag. Head of the Directorate of Public Relations, Mr. Olasunkanmi Olajide, stated that the theme of the event, “Public Relations and the SDGs: Progress, Assessment, and Challenges over Global Goals,” aims to enhance capacity building and align the Directorate’s practices with Global standards.
The statement further stated that the Training would feature a lineup of distinguished resource persons including, Prof. Adeniyi Olayanju, FUNAAB SDGs Resource Person; Prof. Olajide Sogunle, Director, of the Directorate of Academic Planning; Prof. Mutiu Busari, Director, of the Directorate of Research, Innovations, and Partnerships (DRIP);
Dr. ‘Wunmi Abimbola-Okuneye, Director, Directorate of Technologists and Technical Staff (DITTECS), and Mr. Temitope Soretire, Acting Director, Information and Communication Technology Resource Centre (ICTREC).
The initiative promised to provide valuable insights into the role of Public Relations in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Participants would explore ways to assess progress, address challenges, and leverage effective communication to drive institutional contributions toward achieving these global objectives.
