In a bid to ease the demands of official assignments for Frontline Officers of the University, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde today, December 13 2024, presented three brand new GAC GA4, 200T cars to some Deans.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, Prof. Kehinde highlighted the University’s commitment to prioritising the welfare of its Top Officials. He noted that the phased distribution of the vehicles was carefully planned to ensure transparency and adherence to due process, adding that the next batch of beneficiaries would also be according to seniority.

The beneficiaries of the first phase of the distribution were Prof. Adio Akinwale, Dean, College of Physical Sciences (COLPHYS); Prof. Emmanuel Fakoya, Dean, College of Agricultural Management and Rural Development (COLAMRUD), and Prof. Olawale Dairo, Dean, College of Engineering (COLENG).

Appreciating the Vice-Chancellor for the gesture, Prof. Akinwale, who is also the Chairman, Committee of Deans and Directors (CODAD), expressed gratitude on behalf of his colleagues. He commended the University Management for addressing their transportation challenges and assured them that the vehicles would be well-maintained to support their responsibilities effectively.

The gesture reflects the Vice-Chancellor’s dedication to fostering an environment that supports productivity and enhances service delivery within the University Community.
