The Department of Electrical/Electronic Engineering of the University of Agriculture, Abeokuta is one of the four Departments under the College of Engineering established in 2001/2002 session as part of the second phase of development of the University.

PHILOSOPHY AND OBJECTIVES

The philosophy of the Department of Electrical/Electronic Engineering is to produce skilled manpower who understand the fundamentals and principle of the discipline and who can generate technologies for the nation’s agricultural development and technological advancement.

The objectives of the Department are:

•  To train students that have competence in the development of ideas and concepts for the solution of practical agricultural problems using divergent thinking and induction of electrical/electronic principles and applications.

•  To train students that will use appropriate technology to modernize storage and preservation of agricultural products.

•  To train students that will exercise initiative, judgment and creative ability in the use of Electrical/Electronic principles and techniques for the solution of agricultural problems.
