The Institute of Human Resources Development (INHURD) has produced outstanding results in the just concluded Joint University Preliminary Examination Board (JUPEB), with the duo of Aduragbemi Kayode and Abdulquadri Meshioye standing out with “As” in all the subjects offered, thereby topping the score chart.

Speaking in an interview with FUNAAB Bulletin, Aduragbemi and Abdulquadri attributed their success to God for granting their wish, and the University Management for providing an enabling environment to excel.

According to Aduragbemi, faith in God has been a driving force, coupled with the constant advice from his father who always “told him to remember the son of whom he was”.

Speaking on some of his challenges, he said his setback grew to become his passion and motivation, emphasizing that he could not pay his school fees at some point, which made him miss the first mid-semester examination.

Aduragbemi further said the kind of friends he kept enhanced his success, describing them as “people of like-minds” who knew what they wanted in life, irrespective of their background.

While rating the JUPEB programme under FUNAAB high, he also pleaded with the Management to make more provisions for students living off campus so that they can have access to hostel facilities.

Meanwhile, Abdulquadri who could not hide his Joy said his ability to put God first in all things has proved to be fruitful beyond reasonable doubt.

He however, said he had difficulty waking up early to go to school every day revealing that his school fees was a major challenge at inception as his father was reluctant to pay at first.

However, the duo who are both 18 years, appreciated Management for their constant support, promising to sustain their success, and not fall below standard as they proceed to the next level.

Speaking on the success of the students, the Programme Leader (JUPEB), Dr. Ademolu Kehinde, described the students as worthy ambassadors of the Institute, attributing their success to the constant support of Management in providing sufficient service and facilities for the students.

Dr. Ademolu also made it known that JUPEB is planning to open her doors to Management students once the embargo placed on the University in running Management courses is lifted, describing JUPEB as an avenue to prepare candidates effectively for any of the degree course offered by any University across the globe.

According to him, “JUPEB offers ‘A’ Level Programme which affords candidates the opportunity to secure Direct Entry admission into 200-Level degree courses in FUNAAB and other universities locally and internationally”.

He used the opportunity to inform the general public that applications are still on for qualified candidates for admission into JUPEB/IJMB ‘A’ level Science Programme of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB).
