The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) has appointed Prof. Ayotunde Adebambo as the new Director of the Biotechnology Centre.

A distinguished scholar from the Department of Animal Breeding and Genetics (ABG), College of Animal Science and Livestock Production (COLANIM), Prof. Adebambo, an expert in vitro molecular techniques and a member of the Genetics Society of Nigeria, would bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the role.

According to a memo issued by the Registrar, Dr. Titus Adeniyi, the appointment takes effect from March 18, 2025, and would run for a three-year tenure, ending March 17, 2028.

Prof. Adebambo’s appointment underscores the University’s confidence in his ability to provide strong academic leadership and contribute significantly to the growth and advancement of the University.
