FUNAAB Bids Mr. Oginni Farewell

A former Acting Registrar of the University, Mr. Charles Obafemi Oginni has been described as a master at his work and a good team player, who has contributed immensely to the development of FUNAAB in general and the Registry in particular.
These and other accolades filled the air during the Commendation Service held in honour of the late Mr. Obafemi Oginni.
Addressing the Congregation during the Service Exhortation, Pastor Samuel Adeniran challenged all the people that gathered for the Commendation to think of how they will end their race. Pastor Adeniran noted that life is a race, which will definitely end someday.

He noted that Mr. Oginni has run his race, and has ended well, but for the living, he challenged them to consider how they plan to end their race.

Delivering the Management tributes, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Morenike Dipeolu said that the University has lost an administrator par excellence.

She comforted the family noting that Mr. Oginni’s song may have stopped, but the melody lingers on.

Others who gave tributes described him as a good mixer, an easy person to relate with and a supportive colleague and friends.

Prayers were offered for the repose of his soul, for the family and the University.

Until his death, Mr. Oginni was a Deputy Registrar I and the Acting Head, Office of Advancement, FUNAAB.
