The 2017/2018 Engineering Graduates of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta have been charged to be highly dedicated to their work as they practice the Engineering profession.
This charge was made by the Head of Service, Ogun State, Engineer Isiaka Birisiyu, during the Induction Ceremony as Graduate Membership of the Nigerian Society of Engineers.
Represented by the Clerk of the House, Ogun State House of Assembly, Engineer Jonathan Onajobi, Engineer Bisiriyu urged the young Engineers to remember that outside their intellectual ability, they will be evaluated by the works of the their hand by the society.
He charged them not to forget that integrity matters as Engineers, noting that their dedication to what they do will earn them much in the society.
Earlier, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kolawole Salako represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Development), Professor Lateef Sanni had urged the Inductees to aim high, never give up on their dream and never believe they cannot become a Fellows of the Society of Engineers.
The Vice-Chancellor advised them to turn against bad habits, and should not cut corners to succeed, rather display professionalism in their places of work.
The Dean, College of Engineering (COLENG), Professor Olasunkanmi Ismaila in his welcome address urged the Inductees to be good ambassadors of FUNAAB. He reiterated that with hard work, they can also become Fellows of the Nigeria Society of Engineers over the years.
Professor Ismaila, however, tasked them to be active in the society, write professional examination and put in their best in everything they do.
