FUNAAB Commends Former DVC (Academic)

The University Management has lauded the immediate past Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) of FUNAAB, Prof. Morenike Dipeolu for her impressive contributions, hard work and resilience while in office. Extolling her outstanding qualities, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kolawole Salako, commended Prof. Dipeolu for her high sense of commitment and responsibility saying, “She put in her best to make sure we get the best results in every task she handled”.  According to him, one major contribution recorded by the outgone DVC (Academic) was the transition of results processing and transcripts from analogue to digital system.

Prof. Salako further described her as a firm, sincere and good manager of people, noting that her appointment was based on merit and that with the performance of women in administrative positions, he was convinced that more results would be achieved by women. Corroborating the Vice-Chancellor, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic-Designate, Prof. Bolanle Akeredolu-Ale; Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Development), Prof. Clement Adeofun; Registrar, Dr. ‘Bola Adekola; Bursar, Mr. Chukwunwike Ezekpeazu; and University Librarian, Dr. Fehintola Onifade; all commended Prof. Dipeolu’s sterling contributions to Management meetings, her eagerness to proffer solutions to challenges, hardwork, and team spirit.

The Deputy Registrar II, Mrs. Oluwatoyin Dawodu also appreciated the former DVC (Academic) for being meticulous and for her humility, adding that she never looked down on anyone because of her position. The Head, Public Relations, Dr. (Mrs.) Linda Onwuka thanked the Vice-Chancellor for being gender-sensitive and giving women a chance, and the opportunity to prove themselves. Responding, Prof. Dipeolu appreciated the Vice-Chancellor for giving her a good platform as well as other Principal Officers for their support, which according to her, made it easy for her to carry out her duties. A letter of commendation was presented to the former DVC (Academic) in honour of her selfless service to the University.
