A former student of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta International School (FUNIS), Motunrayo Sowunmi, has earned international recognition after featuring on CNBC Africa as a Consumer Goods Analyst from Vetiva Capital Management, where she analysed Nigeria’s Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector and highlighted signs of recovery in 2025 despite prevailing macroeconomic risks.

Motunrayo, who attended FUNIS between the 2011/2012 Session and 2016/2017 Session, discussed findings from a Vetiva report on the FMCG industry, offering expert insights on market performance and outlook.

Her achievement reflects FUNIS’ sustained commitment to academic excellence and leadership development, while serving as a source of pride and inspiration to FUNIS and the larger FUNAAB community.
