The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) has made a generous donation of four Single-Crank Emergency Beds to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Abeokuta to boost the hospital’s capacity in handling emergency cases.
The kind gesture, presented through the Ag. Director of the University’s Health Services, Dr. Oluseyi Anjorin, on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, was made in appreciation of the prompt medical attention of FMC Abeokuta, to staff members and students of the University.
According to Dr. Anjorin, “The donation was a token of appreciation for the prompt medical attention FMC Abeokuta provides to FUNAAB students and staff.” He noted that the gesture would enable the hospital to admit more emergency patients and continue delivering quality care to the University Community.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the Chief Medical Director, Prof. Adewale Olomu, the Chief Medical Officer, Accident and Emergency Unit, Dr. Adekunle Ashimi, thanked FUNAAB for their timely support. He acknowledged that the donation would significantly improve the availability of equipment in the hospital.
The donation was part of FUNAAB’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives aimed at strengthening the healthcare sector in Ogun State.
