A renowned Professor of Ruminant Animal Production and substantive Dean, College of Animal Science and Livestock Production (COLANIM), Prof. Olusiji Sunday Sowande has been unanimously appointed as Chairman, Committee of Deans and Directors (CODAD), Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB).

 Mr. A. O. Agbotoba, Deputy Registrar I (Senate and Admissions) disclosed Prof. Sowande’s appointment in an official correspondence to FUNAAB Bulletin.

The statement alluded to Decision Extract from the meeting of the Committee of Deans and Directors, held on Tuesday, July 25, 2023.

 It was at the meeting that CODAD members unanimously appointed Prof. O. S. Sowande as the new Chairman of CODAD, with effect from August 1, 2023.

 He’s taking over the baton of chairmanship from Prof. A. K. Akinloye, the Dean of College of Veterinary Medicine (COLVET) and outgoing Chairman of CODAD whose tenure of office will end on July 31, 2023.

 Prof. Sowande, an Alumnus of FUNAAB is a Professor of Ruminant Animal Production and former Governing Council member.

Prof. Sowande is a member of Nigerian Society for Animal Production, Animal Science Association of Nigeria, Agricultural Society of Nigeria, International Goat Association and Nigerian Institute of Animal Science, among others.
