The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) is set to collaborate with HAIDA Agricultural and Technology Nigeria Limited in the areas of students’ internship, scholarship opportunities, and agricultural training programmes aimed at enhancing modern farming practices and technology transfer.
Speaking during a meeting between the University Management and representatives of the company, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, expressed the University’s readiness to partner with the organisation, noting that FUNAAB remained committed to strategic collaborations capable of advancing agricultural development and capacity building.

The Vice-Chancellor disclosed that the University already maintains a productive collaboration with CWAY Group, adding that the University also has existing partnerships with Lanzhou University and China Agricultural University, both in China, stressing that FUNAAB possesses the requisite expertise and manpower in the proposed areas of collaboration.
Earlier, the General Manager of HAIDA, Mr. Andy Zhang Li, who spoke through the Human Resources Manager, Diana Pan Dan, revealed that the company was also ready for the collaboration.

Meanwhile HAIDA Agricultural and Technology Nigeria Limited is a subsidiary of Guangdong Haid Group Co., Limited, a Chinese multinational agricultural enterprise currently expanding its agribusiness operations in Nigeria through the establishment of a major feed production and agricultural technology base in Ogun State.
Present at the meeting were the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Development, Prof. Olawale Dairo; Director, Centre of Excellence in Agricultural Development and Sustainable Environment (CEADESE), Prof. Adeboye Fafiolu; the Ag. Director, Directorate of Research, Innovations and Partnerships (DRIP), Dr. Oluwagbemiga Adeleye; the Administrative Manager of HAIDA, Mr. Johnny Xian; and the translator, Mr. Odede Tosin.
