The Vice-Chancellor, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), Prof. Olusola Babatunde Kehinde has expressed the readiness of his Administration to transform ‘Nimbe Adedipe Library to the best in the country with the much needed support and cooperation of the entire University Community and stakeholders in general.
Prof. Kehinde spoke at the annual Book Exhibition, organized by the ‘Nimbe Adedipe Library.
Highlighting the significant investments made by the University in acquiring a wide range of books and other educational materials, the Vice-Chancellor enjoined students to make regular use of library facilities, in order to upgrade their knowledge and widen their scope of research while also cultivating strong appetite for reading.
He reiterated the commitment of the University Administration towards ensuring that students have access to materials that can make them compete with their colleagues globally.
He commended the University Librarian, Dr. Owolabi Abayomi Kehinde who assumed duties recently for the brilliant idea of book exhibition which he introduced to the University library system.
In his Remark at the annual Book Exhibition, the University Librarian, Dr. Kehinde Abayomi Owolabi disclosed that the Library is blessed with dedicated and committed staff who are always willing to assist and support members of the University Community in maximizing the potentials of ‘Nimbe Adedipe Library.
Dr. Owolabi lauded the efforts and commitment of the Vice-Chancellor in ensuring that the University’s Library is the best among equals in the country.
He assured that FUNAAB has a history of acquiring quality book materials that are capable of enhancing the research visibility and output of the University’s academic staff, assuring that he will step up initiatives on effective utilization of e-resources while postgraduate students are to be exposed to trainings that would assist them in their studies.
