In what appears like New Year gift to the institution’s workforce, the Professor Felix Kolawole Salako led Management of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) has promoted 500 members of staff.
The promotion came barely a week after the civil servants resumed from the New Year break thus throwing the Alabata Permanent site and Mahuko Mini Campus into celebration galore within the first few days of the year.
Giving a breakdown of the promotion, the Registrar, Dr. ‘Bola Adekola in a release disclosed that twenty-nine (29) Academic staff have been elevated to the position of Professor, nineteen (19) to the position of Readers while thirty-five (35) other academic staff were also elevated to higher positions.
Dr. Adekola who is also the Secretary to Governing Council further informed that three hundred and twenty (320) Senior Non-Teaching staff and ninety- seven (97) Junior Staff were promoted to higher positions with effect from January 1, 2022.
