The Muslim Community of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) is set to hold its 35th Ramadan Lecture on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at the University Mosque by 10:00 a.m. This annual event has remained a cherished tradition, fostering spiritual growth and moral reflection among staff, students, and the broader University Community.
This year’s lecture, themed “Fasting Beyond the Belly: Nurturing Iman & Moral Values in Pervasive Times,” would be delivered by Alhaji Qasim Alabi, CEO of Habdat Xpress Travels Limited. The event would be chaired by Prof. Adewale Musa-Olomu, Chief Medical Director of the Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta, while the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, would serve as the Chief Host.
The representative of the Ramadan Lecture Planning Committee, Prof. Tajudeen Banmeke, emphasised the significance of the lecture in deepening understanding of fasting beyond physical abstinence, focusing on faith, character development, and upholding moral values in today’s society.
He further stated that the event pro,mises to be intellectually and spiritually enriching, as scholars and attendees would engage in thought-provoking discussions. All members of the FUNAAB community are encouraged to attend and benefit from this enlightening experience.
