July 25, 2018

In line with the statutory responsibility of every primary healthcare provider under the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) to provide maternity care from conception to delivery, FUNAAB Health Centre wishes to inform the entire University community that maternity care is now available for all her numerous enrollees.

Dr. Abiodun Amusan,
Acting Director,
Health Services

A release signed by the Acting Director, Health Services, Dr. Abiodun Amusan informed that, female enrollees and spouses of male enrollees will now enjoy maternity services for a maximum of four deliveries without any “out of pocket” payment.

According to him, it was discovered that majority of staff who withdrew their registration to go elsewhere did so because of absence of maternity services.

Dr Amusan stated that the notice is a “come back” call for members of staff who have already withdrawn in the past and to showcase her new status to all aspiring enrollees that what they seek in other health facilities outside is now available within FUNAAB.

He further disclosed that to serve its clients better, the Health Centre is working on a customer care helpline and email services for feedbacks.
