FUNAAB, NUPEMCO Meet

A team from the Nigerian University Pension Management Company (NUPEMCO) has paid a courtesy call to the University Management and stakeholders to discuss ways of actualizing the pension scheme in the University.

 NUPEMCO is a Closed Pensions Fund Administrator (CPFA) set up to further improve the post working standards of the Staff members of Nigerian Universities.

The Acting Managing Director NUPEMCO, Mrs Oluwakemi Ugwu in her remarks, commended the University Management for acceding to their request and allocating an office to them to carry out their duties, assuring that NUPEMCO will deliver great results.

According to her, other requests made which were in the process of being actualized are for interactions with the various Union members in the University and the provision of the nominal roll of members of staff in the University.

In his response, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kolawole Salako assured the team that the University will give all the necessary support, stressing that the final result on their ability to deliver would depend on how professional and diligent they are at their work.

According to him, “I always emphasize professionalism, however, be rest assured that the university is ready to support your work so that maximum result is achieved”.
