The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), would on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, host its 93rd Inaugural Lecture at the Oluwafemi Balogun Ceremonial Building by 2 p.m.
The Lecture, titled “The Tragedy of Consumption and Conservation: A Paradox of Community Emancipation,” would be delivered by Prof. Omotola Abiola Jayeola of the Department of Forestry and Wildlife Management, College of Environmental Resources Management (COLERM).
As a distinguished authority in Wildlife Ecology and Biodiversity Conservation, Prof. Jayeola would delve into the conflicting demands of individual consumption and collective conservation efforts, exploring how communities could balance these needs to achieve both emancipation and sustainability.
The Lecture would present strategies for navigating this paradox, highlighting pathways to a more equitable and environmentally conscious future.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, would preside over the event as the Chief Host.
