The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kolawole Salako has demonstrated his unalloyed love and commitment to students of the University’s Staff School and FUNAAB International School (FUNIS) by paying them surprise visit on their first day of resumption.

Recalling his early school days in Salvation Army Primary School, Ebute Meta and St Judes Primary School, Ebute Meta, the Vice-Chancellor disclosed that he loved going to school because whenever he performed well, he was given Sliced bread and Margarine.

Professor Salako commended teachers in general and primary school tutors in particularly for their selfless service towards providing solid foundation for academic excellence and moulding the next generation of future leaders.

He assured the teachers and the pupils that the school under his leadership would continue to enjoy all the needed support and cooperation, noting that “this school is very dear to me not because my children are here but because I love children”.

Professor Salako also observed the state of the road to the school assuring them that the University Management would work towards getting it fixed by the government, while some measures would be taken by the University to repair it in the interim.

The Vice-Chancellor and other Principal Officers of the University also paid on-the-spot visit to the FUNIS Library, Conveniences and Hostels, noting issues that needed to be addressed.
