The maiden edition of ‘Engineering & You’, a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Quiz Competition, has concluded with the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta International School (FUNIS) securing an impressive second-place finish.

Sponsored by Prince (Engr.) Yemisi Shyllon, FNSE, in collaboration with the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Abeokuta Branch, the competition was designed to promote engineering education and inspire young minds in Ogun State. The event featured 16 private schools across the state, fostering a spirit of innovation and intellectual excellence among secondary school students.

The first session of the quiz, which commenced in October 2024, was broadcast live on Ogun State Television (OGTV) every Friday, allowing a wider audience to follow the keenly contested rounds. After months of intense academic battles, the grand finale took place on February 12, 2025, at the OGTV studio, where FUNIS students showcased their brilliance and emerged as the second-place winner.

The outstanding performance of FUNIS at Engineering & You reaffirms the school’s commitment to academic excellence and its role in nurturing future leaders in STEM fields.
