The Management of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) has expressed deep gratitude to the duo of former Deputy Vice – Chancelor (Development), Prof. Clement Adeofun and former Deputy Vice – Chancellor (Academic), Prof. (Mrs.) Bolanle Akeredolu-Ale for contributing immensely to the development of the University while in office.
Speaking at a warm reception in honour of the former Principal Officers, held at the University Guest House Conference Room, International Scholars Centre, FUNAAB, the Vice-Chancellor appreciated them for their exemplary roles as Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic and Deputy Vice – Chancellor, Development, respectively.
He pointed out that while in the saddle, they served selflessly with passion.
According to him, the contributions of Prof. Adeofun and Prof. Akeredolu-Ale to the University is enormous and significant.
Prof. Kehinde charged them to see themselves as part of the Management team, who can be called upon at anytime to tap from their wealth of experience.
Apart from the Vice – Chancellor, other Principal Officers who flanked him extolled the qualities of the former DVCs
They are the Deputy Vice – Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Christian Ikeobi, Prof. Kola Adebayo, Deputy Vice – Chancellor (Development) who was virtually everywhere towards the success of the parley; Acting Registrar, Mrs. Oluwatoyin Dawodu; Acting Bursar, Mr. Olukayode Osinuga and the University Librarian, Dr. Abayomi Owolabi.
Responding, Prof. Adeofun and Prof. Akeredolu-Ale thanked the University Management for honouring them.
They specifically commended the Vice – Chancellor for scoring another goal by remembering them, the slight delay that was spurred by unforeseen interregnum, notwithstanding.
They also pledged their continuous support for the development of FUNAAB.
The event peaked with the presentation of gifts to the duo by the Vice-Chancellor.
