…SAYS SHE’S A SILENT ACHIEVER
The Prof. Olusola Babatunde Kehinde-led Management of the University has appreciated the immediate past University Librarian, Prof. Fehintola Nike Onifade for taking ‘Nimbe Adedipe Library to the next level during her tenure of office.
Speaking at a warm reception in honour of Prof. Onifade, held at the University Guest House, the Vice-Chancellor commended the immediate past UL for her immense achievements and contributions to ‘Nimbe Adedipe Library and the University at larger during her tenure of office.
He described Prof. Onifade as a silent achiever and goal getter who delivered with ease and soft touch.
Prof. Kehinde further described Prof. Onifade as a very humble and unassuming achiever who made history in the University as the first FUNAAB librarian that became a Professor, pointing out that the feat has made FUNAAB library a point of reference to other tertiary institutions in the country.
The Vice-Chancellor therefore appealed to Prof. Onifade to support her successor, Dr. Abayomi Owolabi because her wealth of experience is much needed to develop ‘Nimbe Adedipe Library and the University as a whole.
Apart from the Vice-Chancellor, fellow Principal Officers: Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics), Prof. Christian Ikeobi, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Development) Prof. Kola Adebayo, Registrar, Dr. ‘Bola Adekola, Bursar, Mr. Chukwuwinke Ezekpeazu and the newly appointed University Librarian, Dr. Abayomi Owolabi poured encomiums on Prof. Onifade describing her as humble, a team player who worked harmoniously with them, does her work with passion and painstakingly handled sensitive issues with care without compromising standard.
Prof. Onifade was also rated as hard working, lover of staff development with superb hospitality.
The event peaked with presentation of gift to Prof. Onifade by the University Management.
The husband of the immediate past UL, Dr. Gabriel Olatunde Onifade and her Uncle, Chief Timothy Adeniyi Owolabi also graced the occasion.
