Abstract

This study was on the assessment of the body length and head capsule width of instar larval stages of Neochetina eichhorniae. The results obtained from the measurement of the body length and head capsule

width of 30 larvae of N eichhorniae showed the existence of the following stages: Body length (n=30)

1st Instar Larvae 3.l5+-0.12mm (ranged 2.5-4.00mm)

2nd Instar Larvae 5.767+-0.09mm (ranged5.0-6.5mm)

3rd Instar Larvae 8.683+-0.10mm (ranged8.00-9.5mm)

Head capsule width (n=30)

1st Instar Larvae 0.34+-0.01mm
