Mrs. Aderonke Adeofun, Deputy Bursar II in the Bursary Department, has been appointed the 2nd Substantive Bursar of McPherson University (MCU), Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Seriki Sotayo, Ogun State. Mrs. Adeofun brings a distinguished background encompassing both private industry and academic administration.
With an impressive academic portfolio, Mrs. Adeofun holds dual Bachelor’s Degrees in Zoology from the University of Ibadan (1987) and Accounting from Crescent University, Abeokuta (2013). She further enhanced her expertise by earning a Master’s in Business Administration from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) in 2011.
A seasoned professional in the field of accounting, Mrs. Adeofun became a Chartered Accountant in 2000 and achieved Fellowship status with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) in 2012. She is also a Chartered Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM). Before her appointment at McPherson University, she served as Deputy Bursar II at FUNAAB since 2017, where she played a pivotal role in financial management and administrative operations.
Her extensive career included significant roles in both the public and private sectors. Mrs. Adeofun has held positions at Muyiwa Bunmi Ogunlela & Co., Askar Paints, and various administrative capacities within FUNAAB, where she began her journey as a Principal Accountant in 1999.
Mrs. Adeofun officially assumed office on October 2, 2024. Beyond her professional achievements, she is actively engaged in community initiatives through Foursquare Women International (FWI).
