The Nimbe Adedipe Library (NAL) has commenced the registration process for both new and returning students at the University.
The event was inaugurated by Comrade Meshach Nwankwo, the President of the Student Union Government (SUG), at the Wole Soyinka Library.
Following the SUG’s registration, the University Librarian guided the students on a tour of the Wole Soyinka Library, showcasing the diverse and extensive resources available in the Library.
During the tour, the University Librarian revealed that the University has a total of fifteen Libraries, all equipped with relevant materials.
He urged the students to make frequent use of these resources to justify the substantial funds invested in the development of the facilities at the University Library.
Responding, the Student Union President expressed excitement about the historic collaboration between the SUG and NAL, emphasising the commitment of the Union to raise awareness about the Wole Soyinka Library and other Libraries across the University.
Com. Nwankwo, popularly known as Mesh pledged to initiate campaigns promoting the utilisation of the Libraries.
The event’s climax featured the attendees singing various songs to express gratitude to the University Management for fostering an enabling environment for effective teaching and learning.
