The Audit Team of the National Universities Commission (NUC) paid a Courtesy Visit to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde prior to embarking on an audit assignment of the Part-Time Degree Programme in strict adherence to regulatory requirements.
Led by Mrs. Mercy Nwoke, a Deputy Director at the NUC, the Team’s primary objective was to conduct an audit of FUNAAB’s Part-Time Programmes, as mandated by the NUC.
Mrs. Nwoke added that NUC’s interest was to ensure strict adherence to guidelines governing the programmes, including minimum graduation standards, programme quality, classroom facilities, adequate laboratory equipment, and the official approval status.
Responding, the Vice-Chancellor, expressed his appreciation for the regulatory process, acknowledging its importance in maintaining the University’s standards.
He reassured the Team of FUNAAB’s commitment to compliance with all regulatory provisions.
Highlighting the University’s track record, Prof. Kehinde recalled the longstanding establishment of the Part-time and Sandwich Programmes at FUNAAB, stressing FUNAAB’s consistent adherence to guidelines over the years.
Besides, Prof. Kehinde underscored the University’s dedication to preserving its esteemed reputation, recognising the significance of FUNAAB’s name on certificates issued to graduates from the programmes.
Encouraging collaboration, Prof. Kehinde welcomed suggestions from the NUC Team to enhance the University’s Part-Time and Sandwich Programmes, noting the importance of leveraging the visit to assess ongoing campus developments.
Among the dignitaries present were the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Olukayode Akinyemi; Acting Registrar, Mrs. Oluwatoyin Dawodu; Director, Directorate of Academic Planning, Prof. Olajide Sogunle; Chairman, Quality Control and Assurance Committee, Prof. Segun Oladoye, and the Coordinator, Part-Time Degree Programme, Dr. Adeyinka Aladesida.
The NUC Audit Team included Mrs. Oguntimehin Adewuola and Mrs. Funmilayo Kolade, both Chief Personnel Officers in the Commission.
