Prof. Mojisola Olanike Adegunwa, a distinguished scholar in Food Quality Control and Assurance at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), is set to deliver the University’s 117th Inaugural Lecture on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, exploring the critical link between food quality, human health and overall well-being.
Titled “The Web of Food Quality, Health and Well-Being,” the lecture would examine the importance of food quality control and assurance in ensuring food safety, promoting healthy living and safeguarding public health.
Prof. Adegunwa, who is of the Department of Hospitality and Tourism, College of Food Science and Human Ecology (COLFHEC), would deliver the lecture at the Prof. Oluwafemi Balogun Ceremonial Building, FUNAAB, at 2:00 p.m. Guests are expected to be seated by 1:30 p.m.
Her academic expertise centres on food quality control and assurance, particularly in ensuring that food is safe, suitable and fit for human consumption.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olusola Babatunde Kehinde, would serve as the Chief Host of the ceremony.
