The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, has approved the appointment of Prof. Kazeem Bello, a distinguished Animal Scientist from the Institute of Food Security, Environmental Resources, and Agricultural Research (IFSERAR),
as the Director of the Centre for Community-Based Farming Scheme (COBFAS), for a 3-year tenure beginning from March 17, 2025, to March 16, 2028.

In an Appointment Letter signed by the Registrar, Dr. Titus Adeniyi, Prof. Bello was congratulated on his new role and encouraged to bring his wealth of experience to bear in advancing the objectives of COBFAS.

Additionally, the Letter reads that his appointment reflected the University’s confidence in his ability to further enhance the impact of COBFAS on student training and community development.

Meanwhile, COBFAS has remained a flagship programme in FUNAAB’s commitment to hands-on agricultural education, equipping students with practical farming skills while fostering sustainable agricultural development. With Prof. Bello at the helm, the University looks forward to new strides in experiential learning, research-driven farming solutions, and strengthened community engagement.
