The Registrar, Dr. ‘Bola Adekola has appreciated the University Management for the opportunity given to new Registry staff to join FUNAAB. Speaking at the maiden edition of the orientation programme, put together by the Registry, to expose the new staff to university administration, Dr. Adekola described the event as proper induction programme to enable them know what they are likely to see or experience on the job, stating that his vision was to train vibrant administrative officers to acquire requisite expertise.

Dr. Adekola while educating the participants on the “Mode of Communication in University Administration: Types and Forms”, stated that communication was a foundational job of the Registrar, which as administrators, they would have to do. The Registrar described communication as the hallmark of administration, stressing that it involves 90 percent of information  disseminated internally and externally. He advised the new staff to know the sensitivity and confidentiality of decisions and information such that they would not have to externalise them unnecessarily. He further charged them to be diligent, careful, transparent, and avoid being led astray into giving wrong directives. Dr. Adekola encouraged them to read University laws, rules and regulations, while cautioning them against indecent dressing, stressing that as administrative officers; they should always be moderate and neatly dressed, among others.
