Abstract
The study examined differences in public assessment of water resources planning in Oyo State (southwest, Nigeria) based on certain socio-demographic variables such as gender and socio-economic background. The results showed that there were no significant differences in the way public assessed

The implication of the findings were discussed and recommendations made as to how water resources planning can be made more effective and result-oriented in order to ensure the availability of potable water and its efficient use.
