Short Profile

A result-driven Engineer with 20 years of outstanding performance and well-rounded Engineering and Management experience in both the Private Sector and Academic environments. My career started in 1999 at Julius Berger Nigeria Limited Utako Abuja, where I worked as a Civil Engineer at Engineering Services Department main yard. Progressing gradually in my career, I worked with Fultek Nig. Ltd. Port Harcourt, Prodeco International Ltd. Port Harcourt, Tucobest Nigeria, Port-Harcourt and Fumarole Nigeria Ltd. Port Harcourt as Design/Project Engineer and Project Manager between 2001 and 2006. I joined the services of the Federal University of Agriculture in March 2006 as a Senior Technical Officer and I rose through the ranks to become Chief Laboratory Engineer in charge of Structural Laboratory in 2015 before becoming a lecturer in Civil Engineering Department in June 2021. I am a Registered Civil Engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) and a member of Nigeria society of engineers (NSE).

  1. Behaviour and design of reinforced concrete structures
  2. Effect of climate change on concrete structures reinforced with steel and internal or external fibre reinforced polymers.
  3. Evaluation of structural integrity
  4. Repair and strengthening of concrete structures using traditional materials and fibre reinforced polymers (FRP)
