(Dr.) Adetiloye Adebukola is a Civil and Structural Engineer, academic, and researcher at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), Nigeria, where he serves as a Lecturer I in the Department of Civil Engineering. He holds a PhD in Structural Engineering from FUNAAB, an M.Tech. in Structural Engineering from Rivers State University, and a B.Eng. in Civil Engineering from Ondo State University, Ado-Ekiti. He is a COREN-registered Engineer and a Member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (MNSE).
His research focuses on sustainable construction materials, natural fibre-reinforced polymer (NFRP) composites, recycled polymer composites, low-carbon concrete, supplementary cementitious materials, biopolymers, structural performance, durability, and numerical modelling.
Dr. Adebukola employs experimental and computational approaches in his research, including mechanical and durability testing, scanning electron microscopy/energy-dispersive spectroscopy (SEM/EDS), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), and finite-element modelling using ANSYS. His recent research has examined Gum Arabic-modified concrete, iron-filings concrete, waste-derived construction materials, and natural fibre-recycled polypropylene composites.
He is actively interested in international research collaboration, particularly in bio-based composites, sustainable infrastructure, low-carbon construction materials, and circular-economy approaches to engineering. His academic goal is to develop innovative, affordable, durable, and environmentally sustainable materials that can reduce the environmental impact of the construction industry.
