Short Profile

A person with high analytical and problem solving and research skills, excellent interpersonal skills, good coordinating, administrative and leadership skills, good communication skills, and good negotiating skills. I am able to work well in a team and also independently in achieving sustainable goals, and ready to face new challenges with a unique winning Psychology.
Education: I attended Christ’s School Ado Ekiti for my secondary education and Igbobi College, Yaba, Lagos for my Higher School Certificate. I obtained my B.Sc., M.Sc. and PhD degrees from University of Ibadan, Ibadan. I have over 25 years’ experience in Africa Agricultural Research and Development
Work Experience: I worked as a Consultant Agronomist at the Natural Resources Development Services (NARDES), Ibadan which is a private, profit-oriented organization dedicated to carrying out of research and feasibility studies, project establishment and working with farmers.
In 1988, I worked with the Raw Materials Research and Development Council as a Principal Scientific Officer where I was responsible for the coordination of research and development on local sourcing of agro-based and forestry raw materials.
In January 1989, I joined the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA), Ibadan, Nigeria as a Research Training Specialist where I was involved for over a decade in strengthening the human resource capacity of the national agricultural research systems (NARS) in sub-Saharan Africa through short training, attachments, postgraduate programmes and extension services.
I joined the Federal University of Technology, Akure in January 2003 as Lecturer I at the Department of Agricultural Economics and Extension but later joined the University of Benin in April 2004 as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Agricultural Economics and Extension Services.
I was appointed a Professor of Agricultural Administration in September, 2009 till now by the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta. I have served in different capacities in the university system which includes being head of department twice and a Director of Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme. I have served as external examiner for B. Sc, M.Sc. and Ph.D. Examinations in many universities and served as a reviewer of many local and international journals.
I have supervised students’ research projects and theses. I have to my credit over 100 undergraduates, 40 Masters, and 4 PhD students that I have successfully supervised as a major supervisor in which two of them are now professors.
I have published over 75 articles in reputable local and foreign peer review journals. I am a distinguished Member of Association for International Agricultural and Extension Education, based in the United States of America and also a member of Agricultural Extension Society of Nigeria.
I have contributed extensively to emerging issues on agriculture as a consultant to international and national organizations which include Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa (FARA), Accra, Ghana, International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA), Ibadan, Nigeria and Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation (CTA), Wageningen, The Netherlands, Alliance for Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA), among others.
