Peter Aniwe Dele holds a Ph.D. in Pasture Production and Utilization (2012), an M. Agric. in Pasture and Range Management (2008), and a B. Agric. in Animal Production and Health (2003), all from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), Nigeria.
He began his academic career as a Lecturer II at Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, before moving to FUNAAB's Department of Pasture and Range Management, where he progressed through the ranks of Lecturer II, Lecturer I, Senior Lecturer, and Reader. He also served as a Research Associate and Graduate Faculty member in the Department of Animal Sciences at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, Greensboro, USA.
His research centres on pasture and forage production, silage science, ruminant nutrition, agro-waste valorisation, and greenhouse gas mitigation in livestock systems. His work spans the agronomy and nutritive evaluation of tropical grasses and legumes, silage fermentation quality, use of nutraceuticals and essential oils in rumen fermentation, and sustainable feeding systems for smallholder livestock.
He has authored numerous peer-reviewed journal articles, conference proceedings, technical reports, and a book chapter, published in national and international outlets including journals indexed in Scopus and PubMed. He delivered a keynote address at the XIX International Silage Conference in Beijing and has presented papers at international fora including the International Grassland Congress and the International Silage Conference.
He has attracted research grants and fellowships from bodies such as the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND), the National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA)/USDA, the Association of Commonwealth Universities, and CAS-TWAS and TWAS-DFG postgraduate fellowships. He has supervised numerous postgraduate students at the M.Agric. and Ph.D. levels and served as external examiner for postgraduate dissertations at the University of Pretoria, South Africa.
He serves as a reviewer for several international journals, including Scientific Reports, Animal Feed Science and Technology, and Grassland Science, and holds membership in professional bodies such as the Nigerian Institute of Animal Science and the Society for Grassland Research and Development in Nigeria.

Sustainable pasture and forage systems, including pasture management, grazing behaviour and biomass production of tropical grasses and indigenous fodder plants.
