OBI, Modupe Abiodun

Short Profile

Mrs. Modupeola Abiodun Obi is a seasoned educationist, erudite scholar, award winning radio
presenter, producer, interpreter, translator and broadcaster. She has a National Certificate in
Education (NCE) in Ogun State College of Education, Ijebu –Ode in 1983 after which she
obtained a B.Ed. in Education (with) Adult Education and Language Arts in University of
Ibadan, Ibadan, Oyo State in 1988.
Modupeola taught in some secondary schools before moving to the broadcast industry where she
further educated the populace through presenting and producing educative programmes and news
casting. The task involved led her to the Radio School established by the Federal Radio
Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), Sogunle in 1991. Modupeola’ s sojourn in Benin Republic gave
her the opportunity to obtain a Post Graduate Diploma in French Language in Centre Beninois
des Langues Entrangeres (CEBELAE) in Universite Nationale du Benin in 2000. She later had
M.Ed. in Educational Evaluation in University of Ibadan in 2007, having a Ph.D. grade, she
proceeded with the Ph.D. programme in the same University and obtained the degree in 2018.
Modupeola joined the service of Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Abeokuta, Ogun
State in 2002, then she was the French teacher in FUNAAB Staff school because she was
converted to the post of a lecturer in the Department of Communication and General Studies, in
College of Agricultural Management and Rural Development (COLAMRUD).
