Short Profile

Olaitan Kehinde Lateef is a Mechanical Engineer, Lecturer at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, where he has been contributing to academia since June 2023. He is currently undergoing his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution and a Capability development trainer at Beina Maintenance and Reliablity Services. He earned his MSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Lagos in 2017, following his BSc from the University of Ilorin in 2011.

With a robust professional background, Kehinde worked as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at the Ogun-Oshun River Basins Development Authority, where he led multiple engineering projects from 2021 to 2023, having progressed through various roles within the organization since 2016. His experience encompasses project management, maintenance reliability, and the application of mechanical engineering principles in water resource management.

Kehinde is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and a Certified Maintenance Reliability Professional (CMRP), with certifications in project management and reliability best practices from Beina Maintenance and Reliability Services LLC. He is also a registered engineer and an active member of the Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE), Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers (NiMechE), and the Nigerian Institution of Water Engineers (NIWE).

His research work spans various areas, including thermal analysis and advection-diffusion transport. He has co-authored multiple publications in esteemed journals, such as Numerical Heat Transfer, Part A and Key Engineering Material, and presented at international conferences, including the 14th International Energy Conversion Conference hosted by the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.

Kehinde is also an active participant in national technical committees, contributing to the validation of Nigeria’s Roadmap for Water Quality Management and developing standards for ambient water quality.
