Short Profile

Dr. Beatrice I. Olajide (Nee Komolafe) is a young academician and a Lecturer II in the Department of Home Science and Management (Child development and family studies option), College of Food Science and Human Ecology, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), Nigeria. She was a graduate of Educational Guidance and Counselling, University of Ilorin (April, 2006) and her teaching subject is Biology. She also bagged Masters’ Degree in Educational Psychology and School Counselling and Ph.D. Degree in Counselling Psychology from the prestigious premier University of Ibadan (February, 2010 and June, 2015 respectively).

She joined the services of the University as an Administrative Officer II of the Registry Unit in March, 2012 and rose through the ranks to the post of an Assistant Registrar with much dedication and hardwork.  However, her passion for lecturing at higher educational level necessitated her conversion to the academic cadre.

Dr. Olajide had served in several special assignments within the Department, College and University. She had also participated in conferences locally, nationally and internationally and had made oral presentations of research findings such as her participation at the London International Conference on Education (LICE-2015) in November, 2015. She has a total of six (6) publications, three (3) of which are in reputable journals, one (1) in edited conference proceeding and two (2) accepted for publications.

Her research focus is on counselling/educational/clinical psychology.

Her hobbies include reading, travelling and networking.
