Short Profile

Ebenezer Adesoji OLUBIYI is a Reader/Associate Professor of Economics at the Department of Economics, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), Nigeria. He specialises in international economics (Trade, Finance & migration), development economics, economics of institutions & Governance, macroeconomics and quantitative economics. He teaches international economics, macroeconomics, research methodology and development at the department of Economics FUNAAB.  He has been engaging in many research and training programmes since more than a decade including those on national, regional and multilateral trade  and migration policy  analysis,  the relevance of remittances, interaction between trade and institution/governance, interaction between trade, remittances and foreign direct investment, the trade-migration nexus, fiscal cyclicality, international financial issues, interaction between remittances and the stock market, and sustainable development. He is a Research Fellow of some of local and international research centers such as Centre for Trade & Development Initiatives (CTDi), Ibadan, Nigeria; Trade policy Research & Training Programme (TPRTP), UI, Nigeria; Nigeria and Africa Economic Research Consortium (AERC), Nairobi, Kenya. He has published widely in reputable local and international journals in the areas of trade, finance, and sustainable development.
