Adebayo, Olusiji ONI was born on the 5st of July, 1972 at Idere Ibarapa Local government area, Oyo State. He attended Baptist Day Primary School and Okedere High School both in Idere. He went to Lagos College of Education Ijanikin before he bagged his Bachelor degree education, Masters and PhD degree from Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta. Having worked as Administrative Assistant, UNAAB Consult Ltd, and as Planning Officer II, Academic Planning Unit, UNAAB, he joined the teaching arm of the University as Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Animal Nutrition in 2006. Dr Oni rose through the ranks with sixteen (16) years cognate experience and active involvement in research, lecturing and extension to the position of Reader on October 1, 2018 with a current Prima facie case of a Professor. He has supervised to date one (1) PGD, twenty four (24) Masters and five (5) Ph.D students. Dr. Oni is an outstanding researcher and erudite scholar as exemplified by his publication profile. He has published a total of forty five (45) Journals both in Foreign and local based Journal Articles (cited in reputable index). His refereed conference proceedings are published within and outside the shores of Nigeria. He is a member of several professional bodies such as. Nigerian Institute of Animal Science, Nigerian Society for Animal Production, Animal Science Association of Nigeria (ASAN),Nutrition Society of Nigeria, Organic Agriculture Project in Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria, International Goat Association (IGA). His research activity focused on evaluation of unconventional feed resources, mineral nutrition, maintenance of gut health, the use of phytogenics in the nutrition of livestock, strategies of combating feed contaminants in ruminant animals.
