Dr. Oyenekan got employed as a Lecturer II in Large animal Surgery in the department of Veterinary Surgery and Theriogenology in year 2019 and his research interests are in the field of large animal musculoskeletal diseases and lameness. Dr. Oyenekan is currently undergoing his PhD study at the college of Veterinary Medicine, Federal university of Agriculture Abeokuta, Ogun State. His PhD framework is to examine the prevalence, risk factors, bacteria population, associated inflammatory and proteomic changes in hoof abnormalities in polo horses in Nigeria. The PhD study will provide useful information for horse owners and clinicians that will be useful in formulation of equine hoof health policies.
Dr. Oyenekan has over the years developed expertise in the area of small animal and equine clinical practice and he’s consulting for quite a number of large animals and poultry farms. He’s inquisitive with a dint of experience in teaching and researchand has published papers in both local and international journals. He’s happily married and blessed with children.
