One of the foremost alumni of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), Dr. Deola-Tayo Lordbanjou has donated a STIHL MH 710 Petrol Tiller and a Motorcycle to FUNAAB for agricultural revitalisation purposes.
The Tiller according to its manual can handle demanding groundwork and tough jobs with challenging terrain.
Weighing 101 kg with an output of 5.2 kw and a working width of 100 cm, the machine can till large areas quickly.
Whereas, the Qlink 200CC Motorcycle has a low petrol consumption with high durability to access rough-terrain farmlands.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde has expressed the University’s gratitude to the former FUNAABite, calling on other alumni to emulate him.
It would be recalled that last week, Dr. Lordbanjou, a Director, Federal Department of Agricultural Extension Services at the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (FMAFS), facilitated the training of 24 Farm Practical Year (FPY) students at Ijebu-Ode and provided each of them with 25 DOCs and three bags of feed, including bottles of Poultry Zymes.
