VC Celebrates with FUNIS at 18th Speech, Prize Giving Ceremony

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, joined the Federal University of Agriculture International School (FUNIS) community to celebrate their 18th Speech & Prize Giving Ceremony and 15th Valedictory Service.

Represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) and FUNAAB Schools Management Board Chairman, Prof. Olukayode Akinyemi, the Vice-Chancellor congratulated the students, especially the graduating class, and their parents.

He highlighted the school’s achievements, including its recognition as one of the best secondary schools in Ogun State and Nigeria, attributing the success to the collective efforts of stakeholders and the Parent Teacher Association (PTA).

He emphasised that the notable achievements of FUNIS stem from the dedication and hard work of the school and its staff, assuring that the School Management Board remained committed to advancing the school towards greater excellence.

The Vice-Chancellor, therefore, commended the school’s outstanding performance in this year’s Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), noting that FUNIS distinguished itself among its peers nationwide.

Earlier in his Welcome Address, the Acting Principal, Mr. Olusola Ilori, expressed gratitude to the University Management under the leadership of Prof. Babatunde Kehinde for its continual support of FUNIS.

He urged the outgoing students to be good ambassadors of the school, even as he charged them to uphold the values and morals they acquired at FUNIS wherever they went.

The Guest Speaker, Dr. Deborah Ojo, and the Chairman of the occasion, Mr. Moruf Adenekan, both emphasised the importance of being ambassadors of excellence and integrity.

They encouraged the students to adopt the Nigerian maxim, “No gree for anything,” to stay on the path to success.
