Win Up to ₦400,000: FUNAAB Students Invited to National AI Essay Competition

Students of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) have been invited to participate in a National Essay Competition organised by the Brain Builders Youth Development Initiative (BBYDI), a non-profit organisation dedicated to youth empowerment and development.

According to the Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Festus Adeosun, the competition is part of the AI Literacy for Everyday People in Nigeria Project, an initiative designed to promote awareness and deepen understanding of Artificial Intelligence among young Nigerians. The theme of the competition is: “Artificial Intelligence for Public Good: Balancing Innovation, Human Welfare and Responsible Public Governance.”

Winners of the competition stand to receive attractive cash prizes, with ₦400,000 for the first prize, ₦300,000 for the second prize, and ₦200,000 for the third prize. Additionally, the top ten finalists would be sponsored to attend the National Grand Finale scheduled for May 13, 2026.
