The Directorate of Research, Innovations & Partnerships (DRIP) has held an impactful One-Day Workshop for the Academic Staff of the University.
The event, themed “Procedure for Preparing Winning Tertiary Education Fund (TETFUND) and National Research Fund (NRF) Proposals,” took place at the Board Room of the Centre of Excellence in Agricultural Development and Sustainable Environment (CEADESE).
Speaking at the event, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, who was represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic, Prof. Olukayode Akinyemi, stressed the importance of the Workshop, urging the participants to engage fully to meet its objectives.
The Vice-Chancellor appreciated the leadership of DRIP for the initiative, noting the essence of writing winning proposals for TETFund and NRF grants.
Earlier in his Introductory Remarks, the Director, DRIP, Prof. Mutiu Busari, highlighted the Workshop’s goal to equip academics with essential skills for securing TETFUND and NRF grants.
He encouraged attendees to leverage the Workshop’s insights for crafting successful proposal concepts.
The Workshop featured esteemed Resource Persons, including the former Vice-Chancellor of Landmark University, Prof. Adeniyi Olayanju; the University Research Ethics Committee (UREC) Chairman, Prof. Isaac Aiyelagbe; Chairman, Ranking Advisory Committee (RAC), Prof. Olusegun Folorunsho; and Mrs. Margret Omisope.
Among the distinguished participants was the former Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ololade Enikuomehin, along with other prominent University scholars.
The Workshop marked a significant step in fostering research excellence and winning innovative grants within FUNAAB.
