DUFARMS, Assetrise Ltd Explore New Paths for Collaboration

The Directorate of University Farms (DUFARMS), Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) and Assetrise Ltd., have started exploring new paths for collaboration in the areas of raising Layers and Broilers.

The drive was evident with a recent visit from a team from Assetrise Ltd. led by its Group Managing Director (GMD), Mr. Oluwadurotimi Ojamamoye, to DUFARMS to explore potential partnership opportunities.

The team, accompanied by the Ag. Director, Dr. Emmanuel Bankole; Head of Crop Unit, Mr. Olufemi Solarin, and the Chief Agricultural Officer, Mr. Ibrahim Oguntusi, toured the Broilers and Layers sections of DUFARMS.

Dr. Bankole highlighted the progress made in the sections, noting that the 2-week old Broilers weighed 800 grammes each, with over 1,000 birds in total, adding that it was expected to be table-ready by the end of September.

Mr. Oguntusi shared insights into the Broilers’ growth and management, paving the way for potential collaboration.

The team also visited the Layers section, where they learned about the 15-week old Layers, which were expected to complete 54 weeks of laying by December 2024.
