In its bid to be one of the foremost Sachet and Table water producers within the Abeokuta metropolis, the FUNAAB Universal Conservices (FUCONS) Limited has taken a leap with the recent acquisition of new assets at the FUNAAB Water Factory, in Mahuko.
The assets acquired are the Reserved Osmosis (RO), a machine with the capacity to further purify, break down the acidic level of the water and distil 5000 litres of water per hour.
FUNAAB customized mould, a customized bottle mould to inscribe the name FUNAAB on bottle water of various sizes, which comes in 35cl, 50cl, 75cl and 1.5litre respectively and the 3 PVC Cylinders, which will help in the production of a more modern and transparent PVC labels with FUNAAB personalized logo, colours, and Bar Code, to ensure that FUNAAB Packaged Water can be sold in any big supermarket in and outside the country.
Speaking with FUNAAB Bulletin, the Director, FUCONS, Dr. Petra Abdulsalam-Saghir noted that the major push to the acquisition is to ensure that FUCONS limited produce consistently safe, hygienic and premium high quality water without any additive chemicals.
The Director also noted that FUCONS is acquiring more and necessary assets to ensure fast and complete water line for efficient production with optimum time, in order to ensure that FUNAAB water is more hygienic than its competitors and to boost patronage.
Dr. Abdulsalam-Saghir revealed that with the assets acquisition and capacity on ground, FUCONS is working on its expansion, to ensure that FUNAAB water reaches out to as many as possible consumers within Abeokuta.
She said that soon FUCONS outlets will be opened in Camp, Osiele, Obantoko, and selected areas inside Abeokuta town, while distributors are welcome for business.
Dr. Abdulsalam-Saghir however expressed the need to develop FUCONS strategic action-plan in order to improve on its Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) for the University, by identifying key opportunities for innovation that is beneficial to the people.
The FUNAAB Universal Conservices Limited, formally known as UNAAB Consult was established by the University Governing Council in April, 1990 to create employment opportunities and engage in any other matter that will enhance revenue generation and make profit.
