The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) Alumni Association would convene graduates, industry leaders, policymakers, and development experts from across the globe for its Alumni Global Convention 2026, a landmark event focused on advancing sustainable development and strengthening alumni impact worldwide.
The Association’s 28th Annual Convention and 27th Annual Lecture Series, would be held under the theme “Crafting a Sustainable Business and Human Wellbeing.” It aims to provide a platform for robust discussions on economic resilience, innovation, and the role of alumni in shaping a rapidly evolving global economy.
A major highlight of the gathering would be the keynote lecture titled “A Megatrend Approach to Creating Sustainable Business and Investment in an Evolving Economy,” where experts would examine global shifts such as digital transformation, climate change, and the future of work, and their implications for sustainable enterprise.
The event is set to also feature the unveiling of the maiden FUNAAB Alumni Compendium, a historic publication documenting the achievements and global contributions of the University’s alumni. The compendium is expected to serve as a strategic resource for networking, mentorship, and institutional growth.
With a programme that includes panel discussions, plenary sessions, and networking engagements, the convention is set to reinforce FUNAAB’s global footprint while fostering collaboration among stakeholders committed to sustainable business practices and human wellbeing.
