The Vice-Chancellor, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, has approved the constitution of a Committee on the Renovation of Facilities in Lecture Halls and Rooms, as part of Management’s efforts to ensure a smooth take-off of the 2026/2027 Academic Session.
The Committee, chaired by the Director, Directorate of Academic Planning (DAP), Prof. Biodun Badmus, is saddled with the responsibility of identifying lecture halls and rooms requiring renovation and ensuring that the necessary works are effectively carried out.
Prof. Saliu Amolegbe, Head, Quality Control and Assurance, would serve as the Alternate Chairman, while Engr. Kayode Ajiboye, Chief Engineer, representing the Directorate of Works and Services; Mrs. Ayodeji Adebesin, Chief Accountant, representing the Bursary Department; and Miss Rafiat Oloyede, Senior Internal Auditor, representing the Internal Audit Unit, would serve as members.
The Committee is expected to identify all facilities due for renovation and determine the financial implications of undertaking the required works.
It would also advise Management on the most appropriate approaches to executing the renovation projects, while ensuring judicious utilisation of funds released for the exercise.
Upon completion of the renovation works, the Committee is expected to submit a comprehensive report to the Vice-Chancellor detailing the facilities renovated and other relevant aspects of the exercise.
